WELCOME
“Your body is an intelligent system capable of change. My role is to support you in accessing your own capacity for healing.”
With over 30 years’ experience across health, social care, personal training, and wellbeing, Abigail has dedicated her career to supporting others. She began working in social services in 1993, specialising in autism and complex behavioural needs, and has consistently worked in people-focused roles since. Earlier experiences including volunteering with organisations such as Barnardo’s, Mencap, and the YMCA helped shape her commitment to compassionate, inclusive care.
Today, Abigail works primarily with professionals, including therapists and psychotherapists, offering trauma-informed, ethical mental health and wellbeing support. Her work integrates talk therapy, somatic practices, movement, guided meditation, and body-based therapies. She has a particular focus on supporting individuals experiencing chronic illness, stress, and trauma, and offers a limited number of reduced-fee sessions to improve accessibility.
Abigail’s approach is informed by both personal experience and cultural heritage. Her family originates from the Biata Bidayuh community in Borneo, where traditional healing practices emphasise connection to nature, touch, and community care. Alongside this, her father’s work in Western medicine exposed her to a complementary medical perspective. This combination continues to shape her integrative, East-meets-West approach to wellbeing.
Her interest in holistic health deepened following her own diagnosis of functional neurological disorder (FND) in 2015. This experience led her to explore evidence-based approaches such as neuroplasticity, lifestyle and nutritional changes, and mind-body practices. Through her recovery journey, she developed a deeper understanding of the relationship between physical health, emotional wellbeing, and the nervous system.
Abigail brings empathy, lived experience, and professional training to her work. She aims to create a safe, supportive environment in which clients can better understand themselves, build resilience, and move towards improved wellbeing.
Abigail’s work combines elements of psychological support, somatic therapy, and holistic health practices. Sessions may include:
Trauma-informed talk therapy
Somatic (body-based) techniques
Guided meditation and relaxation
Therapeutic touch and fascia work
This integrative approach is designed to support both mental and physical wellbeing, recognising the connection between the nervous system, body, and lived experience.
“I am merely a conduit though, I bring the power out in people to begin healing themselves in a beautiful container of safety and love.”
